We specialise in hand painted and aged furniture and accessories, but sometimes we come across pieces that are just perfect as they are and this antique wash stand is one of them. It just have this sleek "less is more" style, so typical of the Georgian style and the Swedish Gustavian style. The brass handles enhances the beautiful mahogany wood - perfect combination. 

As you can see from the photos, under the lid there is space for a wash basin and glasses / bottles. Below there is a pot cupboard space and a drawer. It has the original brass knob handle on the drawer and turn latch on the door. 

There are many ways to use this wash stand in your house. Use it as a bedside table, side table in your living room or hallway or as an elegant and quirky basin base in your cloak room / bathroom. 

It is in good antique condition. As with many antique items it has some marks, dents etc, which in our opinion is what  makes antique furniture / accessories so charming and characterful - please see photos. Three pieces of the corner wood on the inside of the lid are missing, but is not affecting the use of the wash stand.

As mentioned above, this antique mahogany wash stand would add character and charm to many areas of your home - as a bedside table in your bedroom, side table in your living room / hallway or why not use it as a basin base.
