Characterful Georgian / Early Victorian Country Style Antique Grey Bow Fronted Mahogany Console Table Desk

We bought this antique mahogany console table to paint and age. It was dull and it was not refined, but had the classic style that we always are looking for. Once home in our yard we realised that with some touch up and polish, this piece would transform to a handsome rustic, yet elegant antique.

It has that charming look of a piece of furniture that has been in the family for generations. It was most likely made by a rural furniture maker for the countryside market. It is a quality piece and the decorative table top rim continues around the back, which is a rather unusual feature. It was most likely made mid 19th Century and has two spacious drawers. This console table would fit is perfectly in a farmhouse or a period home, adding charm and character to the interior. Perfect as a console table in your living room, dining room or hallway or as a dressing table in your bedroom. 

It is in rustic, but good antique condition. As with most antique items, there are marks, dents etc from its long life, which, in our opinion, only adds to the charm and character of the piece.  Please see photos as they form an important part to the description.
