Stunning Dramatic Black Hand Painted French Country Chic Farmhouse Style Vintage Oak Bureau / Writing Desk / Chest of Drawers

This elegant oak bureau has been hand painted in Annie Sloan's Graphite, a gorgeous black with hints of dark blue and grey, waxed and slightly distressed enhancing the beautiful shape of the piece. The table top has a gold on black lettering stencilling. We decided to leave the desk area untouched, exposing the beautiful old oak wood - creating a lovely contrast to the black exterior.

The slender, elegant cabriole legs "lifts" the bureau and the absolutely stunning brass handles and elegant shape of the drawers and the bottom rims makes it a stunning piece of furniture. Key provided that locks both the writing desk and the two drawers.

It is in good condition. As with most vintage items there are some marks, dents etc which, in our opinion, is what makes antique/vintage pieces so attractive. The key works fine, but the desk section is a little bit fiddly to lock before you get the hang of it.

With its multi-functional features it is a perfect space saving piece. Use it in your living room, bedroom, study, hallway, kitchen, dining room etc.

Height: 104 cm (71 cm desk height, 69 cm knee height), Width: 72 cm, Depth 42 cm (75 cm with the desk folded down). All measurements are approximate.
