Characterful Handmade Antique / Vintage Brown On Counter Storage Box / Trunk

This rustic wooden box is most likely from the early 1900s. With its relatively small size, but still with a confident presence, it is perfect to be on a kitchen work top, console table etc, adding charm and character to your home. It handmade and most likely home made, as it has a rather “naive” Farmhouse charm, it is not perfect. The lid has a brass latch, stopping the lid from tipping over. Part of the front latch is missing.

It is in a rustic, but generally good antique / vintage condition. As with most rustic antique / vintage items, it has marks and dents from its long life that, in our opinion, only adds to the character and charm of the piece. The interior is in good condition for its age. Please see photos.

Perfect little box for knick knacks etc that brings a rustic Farmhouse charm to your home. It’s not perfect, it is perfectly imperfect!
