Charming Rustic Grey Hand Painted Antique / Vintage Country Chic Wash Stand Base / Console Table Base

This wash stand base (please note, this item is sold without a top) has been hand painted in Annie Sloan's Paris Grey, sealed with a wax. Using our artisan ageing technique, we have aged distressed it - enhancing the rustic Country Chic style it has. It was most likely made in the UK in the early parts of the 20th Century, but it also has a touch of French Country Brocante. It was made as a wash stand, but could just as well be used as a console table.

With its rustic charm, this wash stand would add a touch of the charming Country / Brocante style to your home. It has two drawers and we added Gustavian style handles, which gives it an elegant look combined with the rustic Country. It stands proud on tapered legs ending in original and functioning caster wheels. As mentioned above, it lost its top at some point in its life, but that gives you the benefit of adding a top of your choice yourself. An additional bonus is that it also has a towel rail, adding charm and character to your home.

It is in a rustic, but generally good antique / vintage condition. As with most vintage furniture, there are marks and dents which, in our opinion, only adds to the character and charm of the piece. Please see photos. 

Add a top and use it as a wash stand in your bathroom / bedroom or use it as a console table in your hallway, living room, kitchen etc.
