Antique / Vintage Edwardian Mahogany Butler's Cabinet With Fabric Lined Drawers

Elegant Edwardian Antique / Vintage Mahogany Butler's Cabinet / Cupboard With Fabric Lined Drawers

This cabinet was listed as a Butler's cabinet and was built to be placed in the dining room, but in a modern home it can just as well be used in your living room, hallway, bedroom, study etc.

The plan was to paint it grey and age distress it (like we do with most of our furniture), but the mahogany has such a lovely shine, that it just felt wrong to paint it. To create a little bit of an extra touch to the cabinet, we removed the tired green felt that lined the top drawers and replaced it with fresh striped / flower patterned cotton fabric - creating a gorgeous contrast to the honey coloured mahogany.

It has three very deep top drawers, a cupboard with a u-shaped shelf and a spacious bottom drawer. Original drop handles.

It is in good antique/vintage condition. As with most antique/vintage items there are some marks, dents etc, which we find is what makes antique/vintage items so charming and characterful.

This characterful piece would be perfect in many rooms in your home. Use it in your dining room, living room, hallway, bedroom, study, bathroom - it will look lovely where ever you place it.

Height: 107 cm incl back plate, 102 cm to cabinet top, Width: 57 cm, Depth: 44 cm. All measurements are approximate.
