Absolutely Stunning Grey Hand Pained French Country Louis XIV Style Antiqued Bombe Chest of Drawers With Beautiful Ornate Bronze/Gold Details & Handles

The base of this gorgeous bombe chest of drawers has been hand painted in Annie Sloan's Paris Grey, waxed and - using our artisan antiquing ageing technique - it has been aged distressed enhancing the charm and character of the piece. The top has been painted in Graphite - a wonderful black with tones of dark grey and blue. Part of the side of the drawers have had old writing added to them.

This chest of drawers is not that old and it was really not a gem when I found it, but my ambition was to create a little wonder of chest of drawers which looks like it has come from Louis XIV's court. I have added ornate details on the sides and at the bottom of the lower drawer. The details have been painted in a bronze colour to add that antique style to the piece mixed with a modern feel. I just love it!

It is in good condition. As with most used furniture it has some dents, marks etc, "imperfections" that we find adds to the charm and character of the piece. Please see photos. It was painted when I found it, so I do not know what it is made of, but would guess that it is a mix of wood and MDF.

This beautiful bombe chest of drawers would look lovely in your bedroom, dressing room, hallway, living room, dining room etc.
